Electric underfloor heating - the modern and cheap way to heat your home

Underfloor heating is the modern way to heat your room. It is surprisingly efficient, your heated tiled floor gives an all over even heat. An average bathroom kit costs from £130 (all items required) and uses 300w of electricity when on full - about 25p per day.

An intelligent electronic-programmable thermostat keeps the floor/room at the temperature you want when you want it. An easy to use and intuitive programmer is very important when selecting which under tile heating system to buy. After all, the programmer is the part that you interact with. These particular programmers could not be any easier to use, however for the technically minded, there are a wealth of features that can be unlocked.

We now have the new Warmup 4iE Smart Wi-Fi thermostat/programmer, which allows you to control your heating from an app on your smartphone or tablet anywhere in the world. Imagine you are leaving the office, the weather has taken a turn for the worse, no problem just turn up the temperature on your undertile heating with your phone, making it warm and cosy for when you get in.

The kits are supplied as mats not rolls of cable, the mats are so much easier to lay with wire pre-spaced and self adhesive backing tape. Rolls are cheaper if you want them.

These kits are excellent with a heavy duty shielded cable and fully programmable digital controller. These should be fitted professionally and the book stamped by a qualified electrician to validate the warranty. All Warmup mats have a minimum of 10 years warranty.

All kits are tested for earth leakage prior to despatch. Make sure your unit is wired correctly as probes can be damaged if wired to the controllers power outlet by mistake.

Thermal insulation board can be used to reduce the cost further as it helps keep the heat in and stop it going too far down into the floor. These boards enable a faster warm-up time too. Insulation board can be supplied from 6mm to 60mm thickness.
